Required: Excellent knowledge of intercultural communication, the immigrant experience, and racism in Canada; experience facilitating workshops in these areas / public-speaking; excellent writing & organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: Ability to speak French.

& l% _+ l: b. }: r% ]6 m& eResponsibilities: Coordination of Karibuni project, under the direction of the executive director. This project is centered around the existing film entitled Karibuni, a documentary of the Franco-African immigrant experience in western Canada. An English sub-titled version of the film will be ready by Sept. 1.

Key Tasks: The coordinator will work with our professional development expert and a French-speaking consultant, to develop and deliver educational sessions in English based on the film, to appropriate groups across the country. . }* i! |' S/ k7 T5 i6 S2 v
& j/ Q' {" q: D9 i9 @( p: _. _This will involve finding appropriate groups for presentations & making travel arrangements. During the project a user-manual for the video will be created, designed, and printed. Position will involve extensive travel across Canada.
