0 f% y9 Y, A" b: b7 b* S0 s: J9 w    * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis
    * Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
    * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
  F" L7 z' ]/ E- _( V: S" G# J, D    * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client
# K7 J/ S& @6 b9 @; v' i$ c; {- l+ B    * Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry
    * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals
    * Provides safety training to students, staff and visitors using the lab
    * Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices
    * Assists with laser ablation analyses on the multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICPMS)

/ ]( b  m/ \3 L2 O    * Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred
( {5 W" U: K/ c2 o    * 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)
    * Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
    * A thorough knowledge of lab safety protocols and WHMIS procedures
    * Experience conducting routine maintenance on standard rock sample preparation equipment
