Interior Designer

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
' T, S8 ^1 B9 g2 u: xfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to) f7 G9 w+ A g% Z
measure layout.4 T, j/ U1 s9 k
2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
! q6 o2 n# M( N- xproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
8 c; P! I5 o- `( X: E% V, Udrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
4 c) r$ ^% o8 n+ h+ U5 h I) ospecification and installation.
. I7 E& E9 `4 m/ ~+ D# n' X: D! n3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning) Y8 J9 Q" D j$ L% b
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
5 c ^' a6 ^, X% a8 g4 ?" cplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job1 i) W0 ? z- Z
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
7 w( _- I& \( R& Design (A&D) drawing sets.1 u; O- @" K6 ]
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,+ A; X8 N' X# ]. R" Q6 P8 B
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
& T5 d: Y0 T# D0 R9 u# }* e) eand revisions.
' }7 Q- E* [3 Y; F2 I8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job* U+ O) |# Z; m' d
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.5 K% D. `8 H* D
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.

11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review ?3 b6 ~ N4 Z4 K
meetings with the furniture management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
8 `' W: `* S6 v1 |experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general$ }5 B% ^/ @. Y; a4 J2 G
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.# K$ [1 x) Z6 w6 k' v$ W
