Israel sends planeload of aid to China for earthquake relief

JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

' o- t7 g! Y4 H( i* W/ L6 TMekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.
