When we were called the Sick Man of Asia, we were the Yellow Peril./ }4 o+ P5 K6 s
When we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are a threat.' y( s$ ?/ H2 m- K1 m) W# x

When we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to our markets.6 X, X9 K3 Y" K+ q
When we embraced Free Trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.+ q7 `* R4 K2 w5 X* m; w

When we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your “fair share”.4 |4 t$ p7 V( C/ Q
When we were putting the broken pieces together again, “Free Tibet” you scream, “it was an invasion!”" ~. R3 X( {9 c8 G

So, we tried communism, you hated us for being communists$ q$ F( I! w# P5 V
When we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalists.$ Y2 N% }- q) }% z+ M

When we were poor, you thought we were dogs.

When we were silent no more, you say we are brainwashed racists.
