and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road

& @2 a1 Y4 T. M' Z· You must have your Learner’s licence. If you have a temporary licence (non-photo)* K/ V' C0 R6 r
then you must also provide acceptable photo ID.
& e' t7 X1 y# L6 Q* s: e* J· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the
8 i5 v; G- \+ x9 N% ]' Y% Z, yweather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk).$ J7 ^& P+ ` L+ Z2 E8 p( X
· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid C; G# y( b: ^1 z: j
insurance and registration) and have enough fuel for at least one hour of driving.

The Examiner will do a vehicle check with you. You will be in the driver’s seat and the examiner will ask you to
4 w( k9 _" c0 Y- P& O9 }assist in checking the signal and brake lights, horn, brakes, and steering. You will be asked to describe and; d1 F p w+ I2 ?3 l7 M
demonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield9 t8 {$ \( |% Q+ @+ P! Y) t
wipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions

· Points will be assigned for errors. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 points to pass the road test., E7 n! |& b4 y) e. B
You must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not

· The Examiner will not try to trick you.
0 S& K# h6 e* o* j· The Examiner will not ask you to do anything illegal.

The Examiner will give you a copy of the Driver Examination Checklist form. You will also be given a copy of the% V' Q% M6 z0 `3 d2 v
Test Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any1 x# }: \! R# S$ Y% O
Alberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this3 v, I3 p' D8 m
