Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

Job Description
, z2 w# h7 g. e9 v* ~- l! D5 I-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
$ @- T  `; @% M# g( D-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

  u% t6 P% y/ s6 IQualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
9 ^2 t6 ]# I; U-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

(Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
% A5 }- e% Q& j2 e, m1 j2 H-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
0 B  c; J/ ^7 `- |-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
) `1 N( f4 f, l1 [' s0 c- E! {-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
1 g! q- l6 Y. P3 T. y+ D9 R-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 n0 o9 V9 h9 |8 y$ O-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
. t0 e  P1 A6 q0 h+ J* c$ q-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
! F& m( J& e+ T- D0 o-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

1 [: b. _& ?$ GQualifications
- M+ Q7 p2 [4 b9 O; k: k8 ]-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
