Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
# X/ c# u* o" u8 u- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
* ?% h4 j* K( k ]6 a, B1 ]# \- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
5 M6 c, \/ K" r! F- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma - D; Q4 C* [& _( Q; H
- customer service and office clerical experiences" \% r$ j/ G& y" r% `7 w
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset: h( R! Z0 y/ Y: M

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
4 k( ^& J. w: w- L+ ]; U- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
8 j3 z+ {4 [) B* Z1 H0 G- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
& ?7 C' R. ?' I' b+ `! v, F8 ]" @- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& N" x# N; T) d9 r( X- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members: ^! w1 ]- B( m7 w$ X
- update ASSIST website
1 Q; }9 ?( @) V$ H; s; l7 r3 v! R8 @- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& v8 e Q% U' b$ b0 @9 P
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
' i t' E6 ~$ g9 V7 E1 g* f- assist in writing proposal for ISP3 k6 k6 P0 Y. e( f$ o
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
3 V) }$ h! C2 u" R: Q( v: Q4 J* G+ t- hold regular meetings with ISP team9 l) \8 q! o6 b7 B$ c- x' u
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time; o6 I$ S& l5 j: t( x/ b
- update membership database2 Z4 r+ D1 X8 n- Y9 D2 c# }6 X
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 9 Y4 U# B1 `& ?% e% i4 k
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
