Job Description
1 c* }+ x: [9 S/ `) ~- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
1 m9 u6 h8 s! l# r% v" |- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Y/ P' ~* |( ^% O
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team/ d) j4 P/ {8 w9 s
$ V( F+ m9 P9 V' p1 ]Qualifications:
* o2 A6 \9 z) d" d H# N- post secondary diploma
- i6 x$ b+ K5 X( k& `# v% g& Q! _- customer service and office clerical experiences

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
0 K: U/ j9 Y1 T/ s" W' e* e- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
& v" U/ q8 Q6 J5 d8 b$ E- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services6 J! b1 q+ \5 ]
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* ]+ k0 S( A5 ~/ J4 l
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members9 S/ B+ w# Q6 v/ i E
- update ASSIST website
0 E( g4 D4 L! G- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& P+ r/ J$ b1 U7 p8 N5 U# l, M
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 y6 r" M3 f2 x0 ^- assist in writing proposal for ISP
- T _8 S. i* v d6 n$ s9 c& ]- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
( h5 Q- K# C9 x+ r" |- hold regular meetings with ISP team

Qualifications# D. d, h# d: Q7 [4 P
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education , Q5 N8 X' t- H) C% s
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills z9 f4 b1 A2 P* ~; K
- experience in community work and immigrant services4 }/ H' v! f1 d5 W$ N
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 R: Q- k$ s! D8 a5 g' m1 y
