Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.' }( e% b9 L; O( V
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

Qualifications:
, Z6 e0 t& E. H& d1 {, e; ~- post secondary diploma
( F4 M- v6 q4 z8 n9 C% \2 H- customer service and office clerical experiences
- o& j" ?8 u/ D5 c5 U: H/ F- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
* z' z! A2 X/ V# t+ [* _" c; Q- c- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 u( @9 E6 z- J: Y
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services$ Q0 M. w- Q* }
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies0 r" k# N% @0 d/ o- y
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members# Y" I2 g& Z$ q" `& m+ j y! e
- update ASSIST website; |& W: M% | v
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre4 [2 L, Z3 e# f
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
; z; V$ f- E" H0 D. _- assist in writing proposal for ISP; h5 _' P3 q- C' q1 X% a4 }8 c6 |, W
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP4 g) a7 ^; P9 @# V
- hold regular meetings with ISP team

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications% I* _, u& }) d* u# W p; X7 \
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
$ }. W7 t5 ~, l- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
( @' v! V- U( J% _2 l- experience in community work and immigrant services1 b7 b9 L" _+ ^, m2 Y6 g
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
