- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
( v5 f3 l" N: O, I2 t- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker3 q: S3 @7 a: l( ?. E7 C& m
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team4 L0 o, V4 ?8 g6 K, T

Qualifications:5 \0 |' S" e' T0 s! q$ B
- post secondary diploma
?- o( [9 D6 H" L4 h) g- customer service and office clerical experiences9 p: B M* G; o
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community* n! ?' [# y& j0 F& E" J- t1 E8 T& m) m# [
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services+ T, y( Z. F u9 G
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
7 s! I$ Y! V8 g+ ] k+ [8 `- ?. }- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies7 X+ G* o }/ V5 e5 Q* w3 W
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members1 j0 k: m( b) m5 i, X1 o
- update ASSIST website
& D+ V. o- o9 ~( V- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
7 n3 t G/ V# [/ D$ e- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
4 t7 G$ v9 n, f5 P: n) L- assist in writing proposal for ISP7 F6 `) d, K4 v7 q2 G g
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
9 i" F& T) T7 o T/ _0 c- u( F$ F7 f8 F- hold regular meetings with ISP team
/ ]& N5 k0 g {( Y' z2 E- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services' F7 A; T* ]+ f
