EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。3 A9 D- x& Z t

时间：上午9点至12点理论培训，下午1点至4点实习。. c) @$ N8 i* y; {/ j

* ^. E' D x6 g7 mThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
! n6 S5 Y9 b7 n! B4 L0 e8 mbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.& ~( K4 c7 f( F

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials- z% V+ ^, M- I+ d
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different6 _3 @4 v- t7 }7 Y& I# b3 Q4 ]
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.0 l% |1 `& G/ G; `% o' i2 I
