ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

6 f; O" T4 L4 U" r  y* A" Zstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
5 }4 j+ G& o) _! ^0 J; k: j6 d6 Mobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
) W2 d2 X* ^& U$ q3 Y) `1 P* xrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
( H1 y! R8 E) c0 A' i$ y4 Y1 a( frequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
' I. d. R! t1 ?: Y+ Acloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
7 J0 u& p5 w$ {; q, Lover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.
