ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
0 H" T6 U! _8 i; e( U, R9 ctechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
# E  {4 M6 N  [+ G; @5 G1 y1 B% dstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
& x; i7 u( E. W) O1 ^. U0 o$ efrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
; v  I7 e. C+ ?- O/ \! `cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
' V+ }, J7 i) E3 D+ K8 Mis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
4 R2 m: d  a" i9 Qaccurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
9 J; U9 D( T, F  o7 `1 Esalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
