% E* q* t5 z7 R4 d& hstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

( \5 h- a, S% J( h4 PQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
; Y# H1 v8 G9 ?obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a9 _* s$ o @0 j& N
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
0 g( p3 G9 V8 k) ofrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
" I- {; E: _4 s2 q9 qrequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
% v3 f) X3 _8 S: V7 icloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
/ x# N# I9 _# n* Yover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification2 \" S5 V8 D0 F* y
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
1 T8 N: z* a1 y7 J7 Bthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
8 G3 ^; `( G3 ^accurate and complete research records. . o2 |8 M1 B0 v

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
8 z" d" R2 a5 `funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated; F- Q* ?2 D4 p4 d) @, K0 T7 c/ q& ^
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
