ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
2 @/ [5 N+ A" D8 T9 o6 yrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
5 l8 K; I) t  F( g2 ~technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
: W9 s( L  _; Z% T# T/ ostrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
8 }6 G8 Z( T1 b% T5 c6 z( Jobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
5 Q; f- h3 y( c& {: {required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
! ]0 k5 U& O# iover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
% z9 A2 b6 P: L& [! c' ~" Bis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
  b' T* k3 L; y' ]the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
- S5 h/ c0 @" ~7 w' x+ haccurate and complete research records.

' Q- ^9 o! I5 P. x' k5 ?This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
