PREPARATION:( L' A! N" M2 [* d( w7 K
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. $ d+ d u* j% w% p) u- u
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. 7 N2 V" H$ F9 x3 Z3 P
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.3 p; D2 v: r9 P

) k6 {* T# h2 G. uI normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.$ \9 l( k) D5 |) f* `
