• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

/ i- o8 P5 G4 p, h0 E• identify community and user needs and trends3 A7 {2 v5 m }' x
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting: g% H$ V& q/ \/ @* L' h
• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
* C5 P, y/ y4 j# ~• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders7 C" E( b! v ?! x0 u% b
• communicate the value of the organization to the public4 g2 U9 d. k3 |* `' u
• identify community needs and trends
+ e& C1 ]/ R3 w) R• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
+ {* n4 ?8 w1 i* m9 u0 e. }0 R" c0 g• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups( n' ~# u: l/ x; v# o& s) {4 c" @
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.9 u4 Z3 _- j4 G
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff& ~4 G# Q. W, S1 [
( P4 v: p7 q" P' ~! t) F5 ~Qualifications
, z) O1 N4 R! ~! l- University degree in a related field; . V% `5 C' N; r d) s
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
4 O9 q: J2 ]4 u. y1 X- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " c8 P$ E& b& @* H
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 6 @( Q5 {& j+ }9 K$ e( p/ f
, H0 V/ K) p' A& ~Salary/ u: c- z$ L8 ]" A4 E# j1 q+ ~
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
