Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors: M; `0 e2 I3 a* r6 ^. F
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
+ R& W( l# V3 D" ~& c* m•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
0 p) g' i, F: f, P7 K" D  L% e•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation" {8 M& V# a$ t

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements 3 r1 y, u- H* I
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
& R' M7 M6 Z; D% Z) k•        development and management of the programs budget
$ Q) G$ |' N. P' x* g8 G•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

Staff
% o. }# k- c* S2 u( |  W" p•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff! g5 W( p) D, O9 R) P3 d$ |6 D
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers/ a1 T6 b% a3 f1 A* m4 [, {
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions5 |7 ?# E- \/ B
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
3 a' W3 i( l8 u2 W* ?•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth  A1 I) ^( J2 g- R; _2 B2 h
•        meet with staff on regular basis
; u! P3 t) r8 P: x  t•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff. j+ S* \4 }* ^, _% v( z

4 p0 }* B! @* ]- A•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
$ @- A0 E$ x7 ^% u•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities! f" }( l; A% ?& K6 l
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders( ^& g: `+ r+ U+ {6 F2 ?6 M
•        set program priorities and directions 4 b+ E0 f" S3 Q" H, X5 d
•        identify community and user needs and trends
; i, ]/ U( a+ ^* @1 A7 R•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends& j- [& G* S  U7 P
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research3 I3 Q1 a9 w5 i4 Z
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting8 S5 z. t! l& [# p- p4 o! |/ s0 f
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
( k; f; A' Z  W; O4 e•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
# u5 Z' U) N) L. E8 ^•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others: L) {: [0 Y( R; W8 z; [

3 T0 f! s: _" l- J( S" m•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
5 R# f; U: T# A8 e, X, U0 \•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders1 G$ h, Q- r9 u0 q- P/ z! L9 d
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
" v  d; Y( _- R•        identify community needs and trends
9 N3 q% {# F$ B4 G# E•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups- Q) Z( S7 Z5 D0 ^
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups7 u% G% Z6 R* O$ n% q1 O
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.5 D" d$ `2 z/ s1 o, @% E" @) a9 |
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
' o4 Y5 s  T/ F3 U6 [7 _  g) c/ j  ?/ {4 o* K# n2 L8 K
Qualifications9 k* C8 X+ T" ^8 G& [4 o
-        University degree in a related field; ; q  B  d/ T5 _+ E
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;+ I0 T: u4 j+ Q3 n+ n3 A
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; ' u9 q/ v% M4 r- H* O
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 7 f5 m' n, _) U0 h  P9 t- E. K
. y# J; y+ P3 V
Salary; N5 S1 _$ K1 I9 D8 S
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
+ |% H3 p. t; C: T7 j: ~' B4 @
5 X& t. B/ O3 cStandard Requirements: X8 g0 M- w+ _2 C4 C
-        Security check ( at the expense of employee) and child welfare check
