• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions$ `. B+ k* ?7 p
• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators$ s( t% R3 c6 w
• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

Programs/Services
0 l8 l3 w6 c$ P• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
1 v* a! v0 l4 h8 V• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
4 Q4 u& M6 y- ~+ o! l* o• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders" n; L0 o4 F- q4 U
• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• communicate the value of the organization to the public5 A3 ^" z# f: E
• identify community needs and trends, X- m5 c" B& O6 L5 I
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
4 z* n6 U2 C" v, h• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
0 ^( a5 w( t* q7 Q/ u' C• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.2 x4 J" ]" r( r+ C1 t+ Y
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
g5 t/ y6 O) s! w: W- University degree in a related field;
/ e! t6 }8 y+ G! {& ~- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
- q/ |0 U d8 S% n5 M Y/ s. o8 d8 \- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; + a* A5 @0 ^, ]+ l# g+ I% o
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 1 e. `' ^; k6 f, e7 S

Salary9 I* g: w+ |- ~
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
