• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities! c: I }* M; K" {; P+ S
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders9 T5 r# Y a* |, J
• communicate the value of the organization to the public

. i i: w, }* B% Z2 i' U/ j9 m) S. M• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
" J! W T( l& v: e G: t) _• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups5 Y% t* T2 ?& \! d5 s
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

. f5 N0 }1 G2 [. AQualifications
( p. u# d& P& t; G- University degree in a related field; / | {& h! T, K; F
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;" g3 y: n0 n9 ?. [" ?
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 4 a8 u! s+ L; v% S7 J: r) v
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
