Key Responsibilities
8 t* l/ v' u. ^5 A8 V; q% o- submit information for community news
3 w. o7 B d F* U* T: J: M; Y- provide volunteers to update membership database
1 X t' Q9 o+ h9 t$ q/ s2 c1 p- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers$ q/ a1 x( I8 q4 d. I R$ ]. n C
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties. K- E6 v+ ~$ i
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
' ` m# t6 x5 k1 s- provide volunteers for various programs 5 ]0 l F0 {; [
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual/ m4 M/ i8 A% S# m. T1 \
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
% @& J% r0 D$ A- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
4 _, p+ v4 H5 {& d+ K5 T: r' M3 Q9 C- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
; Z; p3 m2 j- X) ?' ]5 Y- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports2 Z" D# | B! ^
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed. `& s" {% E+ N. s9 h) t
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
$ ]1 A/ g2 U% r8 p0 J$ q" z! G- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required): \. M2 z U% l9 J: ?5 h! @4 j: t
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
* k3 t. z' {6 R. p" b7 l- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
m2 @7 E6 A5 v( Q- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis # Q' z- d5 d/ \& U1 G' a3 X

Qualifications
2 j0 y [& c0 }) M9 V9 f7 ~$ K1 ~- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education8 c, ~5 r2 n7 V: H8 ^2 `( q
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 Q, F) L8 A. r W
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
, q( Q6 E2 G, I2 }- leadership skills
% K& S# K" s# y9 y# r! h/ P- management and supervision skills
. ^4 s6 k' s2 g2 Z, O0 `- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
