Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

- submit information for community news 7 i) t/ W( z% O* n/ G* i
- provide volunteers to update membership database% D& B1 I, `" k& [" {" [& F
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers' j& ]/ |8 k& R |5 t! K6 `
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties! z# I5 W3 O" U" w( h6 [
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties h. W" u) O6 W) q3 I7 `" J0 y( v
- provide volunteers for various programs
2 ~+ q+ ^% Z5 J/ K- z- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
; s' }* ~. z" ~( U6 L" m- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation5 ~4 D: w# E/ ]7 W
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities& s. q9 x& p2 w. f& R
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services J; y* j2 K. }
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports, d, \' T* ~5 }; ~( v7 W
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed& j# F8 D- S% N* q, }
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
5 l8 ]. U/ R: a7 Z& R. `3 T- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
) F- V* S+ E) K4 X' y5 g8 K* W- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ) B' K+ e4 U- w9 [8 B$ q
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual % X/ s" |% d% Z* T2 c, x: e
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
% R( t2 C5 V1 M) ]2 @- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers : X, d# N- _9 j) n. [9 }- Q
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education6 I; t2 H; w: n9 ~
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills, b0 @0 h; }, p
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
0 Z- f" N- I9 T6 A- leadership skills
