2 X# E! f: i$ C2 {0 V- submit information for community news $ X1 ?, k8 T' m
- provide volunteers to update membership database
# Y l& s( m! k. h# c" W; g% G5 |- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
* m+ s6 D( |0 w) d, h5 {- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties r2 V) i% }4 {
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
4 H4 S1 j' }; z9 n% v& k4 O4 a+ u- provide volunteers for various programs 8 w1 U% D& L% Q* \: `5 V5 C
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
; m( Z0 W2 m% _" B1 }+ C- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
# y' Z/ L) \3 L* W0 ^- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) e- B3 b/ d* @( [
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
; l9 o* _& P0 s- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports# O7 n1 A' S6 ^& ?+ n( X
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed$ ?8 x/ ]( }8 [0 h$ i5 `4 g; H9 j) \
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
1 N( w( w$ Q# f7 @; p. S' i% H- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
; \+ E; i; ~, v3 U* W- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers & j8 ~7 V3 T% G( b. t
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers " J; A) d$ b f" F, r) u
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis * y4 T6 h4 ~* Z; h5 I( J5 k% r2 W
- evaluations

Qualifications
' c. _: J& W' U/ `; d) c- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
7 N( D9 Z' g8 R! a# ]4 D- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& H; b$ I* ]' b4 `5 U8 L" H: |" o0 Z3 ?" G- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services7 B, g1 I. j# u. y- N c% A& C
- leadership skills
4 u4 y% v6 w; r" }) ^6 c0 C, y- management and supervision skills: R$ m$ Q8 |# V% Z& Y- D* p+ n
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
