CALGARY — Screams filled the air after a 17-year-old teen was killed after being struck in the head with a pickaxe at a house party.

# ^4 \% u$ p$ |. }Neighbours said about 100 teens were at a house in southeast Calgary when the attack happened in a detached garage about 11:50 p.m. Saturday.

Chris Briggs, who grew up in the same neighbourhood and was friends with McKay, described him as nice guy and avid athlete. 3 E- K% x2 o) W/ O3 D

Staff Sgt. Kevin Forsen said police are currently interviewing more than 40 witnesses to the attack.
