! P4 ]+ |+ @9 D' d" i  G5 gI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

# ^# p5 M; b# ~. Y8 A$ K1 R+ T"We have requested background information from other government
2 t* j. i! {$ E; u. ]  foffices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
# O9 Z7 S; ]# ?- X! v( \of your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
4 J/ y2 k+ c# U# Gthe status of your application before this information is received."

* I  M0 a1 Z1 v- W; `+ xDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

本人也不幸在被调查中...

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
