Good to see you are working on interview. For your 1st question, you could say that "I would like to reconcile each b/s account to the penny. However, sometimes it is not cost effective to do it. It might be more beneficial to journalize the difference. However, I find it very difficult to let it go."
Just like Tina said, say something that seems weakness, but there's a good reason behind it.

有HR,不是很大的公司.
相对于Shell来讲确实是小公司。
HR的人没有参与面试。

对于大公司，不要在面试中随便忽视HR的存在。比如我们公司对每一个招进来的人都要回答一个问卷的。没有这张纸，程序是走不下去的。

第一轮面试我的是controller,我申请的位置是直接在Controller 以下，她说还要叫VP看一下。

我也经历了第二轮面试，第二轮面试，一般是senior manager或者director。
我经历的第二轮，专业问题与行为问题各占了一半。还是按照你递交的简历准备，就行了。一般都是围绕简历来的

i've spent a lot of time prepping for interview... maybe too much... and recently i've been on the other side of the table, on the phone and in person. quite an experience. i'm just going to answer the first four questions because they are more interesting :D

1. weakness - do yourself a favour and come up with an original "weakness", because some "weakness" have been recycled so many times, you will give the interviewer the impression that you are just memorizing answers. you're not "real" enough.

2. family and work - just say you understand that there are times when overtime is required, during those times you will choose work over family because your boss needs you.

3. 3 things - my blackberry/company phone (because my boss will call me), my iphone (because my parents will call me... or you can say you're going to call 911...), and my wallet (because i will need my ID to claim insurance! or to buy lottery.....)

4. win lottery - look, they just want to know if you're still going to come to work tomorrow if you win the lottery today. if you're in IT, say open your own weekend computer shop; if you're in finance, obviously invest the money somewhere.

sometimes when they ask me a weird qn, i will just ask them back the same qn. then you look at their O.O faces.

最好的处理方法：1. 讲一个与工作无关的个人缺点。2. 讲一个有关职业的弱点，但必须是已经克服和改进了的。

回答这个问题要像通过地雷区一样小心，非常小心！记住，面试者在观察你对从前上级的评价及方式，而不是要通过你了解你的前老板。此题在引诱你讲前上级的负面情况，可是一旦你讲了，对你弊大于利。因为即使情况属实，意见提的合理，招聘者的结论也许是：你的人际关系差或者你倾向抱怨别人。
回答这类问题的最佳方式是选一个非极端的事例，但只简单提及，然后主要谈你从中学到的正面东西。
例如：

"Well I've been pretty fortunate as far as supervisors go, and I didn't have any problems with my professors. In my first job out of college I worked with a supervisor who was pretty inaccessible. If you walked into his office to ask a question, you got the sense that you were bothering him, so we just learned to get help from each other instead. I wouldn't say he was my least-favorite supervisor, because he was a good supervisor in a lot of ways, but I would have preferred that he'd made himself more available to us and given us more direction."
Or
" Ms. Henson was a tough supervisor. She'd push people to their limits when things got busy, and she was a stickler for detail. But she was always fair, and she rewarded good, hard work. I'd call her a tough boss, but a good boss."

我今年作为面试官面试过从Finance Clerk到Finance Controller5个岗位。我觉得不见得是你面试问题回答好坏的问题。即使你自己觉得回答得不错，面试官也不一定有同感。对于你给出的答案，不同的面试官也会有不同感受。主要问题不是你不够优秀，是对手太强大。不要想太多。谋事在人，成事在天！
