This is how I view the effects of major road way on the location of newer neighborhoods:

1) Worst: Cameron Heights
Main entrance on AH

6 t* |! P1 Q2 B; v2) Worse: Terwillegar Garderns
Major roads on 3 sides (and a crappy neighborhood on the 4th)
1 \. u, w& |: \1 U, H
& d$ D4 v' Y" l$ L' R3) So So:  Magrath etc.
* A3 T; ?6 u- C# Y. G- Q9 GMain entrance on secondary roads (Rabbit Hill)
Major roads on 2 sides
( G$ |) P* g( q
4) Good: Upper Windermere, Eagle Ridge
Main entrance on "3rd level" of roads that leads to the river valley and/or golf course.
7 Y, ]0 B' E% [' ~/ H7 o0 x5 {) rNo Major roads on any side. No crappy neighborhood around. No visible power line.

5) Best: Windermere Ridge
3 p  D1 k2 O) `8 l, sSame as 4.
+ all in one cul-de-sac
% x) U8 @7 Y! F, H$ N* m+ DC1/DC2 zoning
5 h3 E1 V: ?  `6 l1 c8 I, M+ No condo in view
