Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

2) Harry Ainlay

5 F8 f/ o3 t6 |- }Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know.

Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)

% R% O& O4 f+ xVic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...# k) M8 y+ N7 `# g( m

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :)/ ~) V) o0 ~/ R! Z$ [
