festival.
9 ~, Y' ]0 H7 e2 G" R9 v6 j! w6 v |Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and3 F0 d' {9 n( ~; S* a' K, u
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft0 ?- y) b2 Y2 K* |* p
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
9 ~6 g& \- E) f% `Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the: T! |/ h: ~" g* {, t
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.) x3 H$ X+ d7 m7 L# L
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for/ i# W/ W% r0 A/ u2 _5 q+ l& M
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
4 n: X/ |5 A: Drecyclables.6 y& Q; N: d7 R
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
- A* m f" F! {8 h7 @* _part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.' v5 \7 w( x( M* P) {
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing8 T' i: h& ~6 ^4 Q1 q& C# P, l
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late" M: g: g; n% O" F9 R0 Q" R( G
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
" Q5 _4 h q& c9 C4 y# aInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the: @" X& r+ |/ R% h, P. x$ L _; p
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
" P" t9 J1 z+ d/ fprograms to visitors to the festival.: J: i v+ X0 o- K
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for. g/ O: o& q9 Y3 }3 H. E! A
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
: C& [! x* g; s7 n0 j: B# cOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed! y8 @/ N( c- B7 O5 W9 S
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
4 @% c9 ^% i8 |. Qfestival.
, x2 U% _" H! gSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is& H4 J. `: N! U: f+ s8 _
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
2 m$ Z0 l9 M( r oare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
, P& l0 m0 h. v n5 MStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
. p e( h% C! jand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
5 h+ g+ y7 v( B6 H* CTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be6 i8 U9 Y( w: M0 \* g1 Z" {; U6 R
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
# \; c0 w% |* D/ E; ~4 o ]airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
; T% ^$ g8 }9 }" M1 ^staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
