Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and7 C' ?6 L& O. O( b+ z) d
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
" K- L% e* t0 T3 i6 bprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
* j. J: }' u* NChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the. @2 R4 r2 ^4 g9 _' ]. M
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
/ n% H9 O* O* |" G. r8 ZEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for5 Y7 c8 V, N) D: ~
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the- a7 \$ c3 ~, i2 }8 m
recyclables.
1 s ~) G6 x; O$ {: uFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be% T5 Y4 _# H! m9 j7 m
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.! m" f: a+ m) R
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
9 `' \/ \2 e0 i) n! [. k c$ }them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
0 n( D: _4 ] m& S+ q4 V; ghours are part of this crew’s duties.3 n$ v& i& K" v. s
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the2 g" E/ @: x( Z8 b0 L( A& v
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
2 P! z& o, V' [" f) Hprograms to visitors to the festival.( s; W G! j! p" [# t$ m# B$ B: b
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
" X. B1 a! b$ |6 g3 Deveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.4 x8 X7 z; b a1 z- C4 O. Z1 d
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
8 m {' K ^9 `events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
* M8 d% A8 P" w) M. tfestival.* _# Y; y! b; B6 u9 {, ^9 d+ U
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
, h/ l) A9 f) [( Noperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you% F( s6 L" `- ~* z( [4 V2 \2 E
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.) U/ d6 n2 I" n: R. v1 F4 j8 j
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training: z6 v1 U9 l: z" ?# y' M
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
0 M! i5 `/ a7 ?, n# hTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be" i( u( [& V( @* b( s& q
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as' B* n: V2 W8 m# E2 a o
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival. K6 Q( \6 F% j
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
