Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
9 X t. d* ?2 t6 t- g! X' Twork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
6 @/ ^7 @/ D" [" B& V, K ?prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.9 j$ W7 l4 j: r; g+ P
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the8 A) { Y% |/ s1 T; y: V, I: P
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
& f$ Q# |# M# ]5 y/ B+ AEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
( ^; o) V2 z- Qvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the' G7 h2 v( j0 c- i6 y8 m
recyclables.
$ S/ N; ]; L. z% \+ z0 P; KFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be- B1 T5 N4 ? D+ m: Q4 u
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
5 E) v2 [9 k' B( B6 I5 t) b5 uHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing2 T( k% M% O5 }9 X6 G
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
) V; @' p1 j- b. ?3 u, bhours are part of this crew’s duties.
5 g" Y0 S/ b% D9 gInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
5 C: R4 v! ]* e1 z7 Ofestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide `8 G& @( [' ]8 p' }4 [. t
programs to visitors to the festival.3 L# x. O% J) p' _8 T1 u
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for; ^; X$ S9 R! V3 h, h" }/ N0 L+ Q9 n
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.5 h S) n1 k! ?, ^! e0 Z
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
! f, `1 X6 N. R' d) Vevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
6 {, G, r$ T0 nfestival.
3 E" K1 F: u6 G( x3 }Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is+ V4 I& f: P& f* U6 e& X
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you' b! S' \2 t( s2 J
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
: \5 ]$ ?4 Z! s7 sStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training& s* N& T8 t& U3 V4 q
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.8 I R, o! f* l8 H. f
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be5 y& H# \& s9 Q1 l, L
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as5 q+ W! q. A+ C+ F
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival' r! C) e5 u( h! x0 J( O. c" L
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
