The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at
SUB
& h0 E$ F$ b! x; L9 atheatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

- j+ F4 j$ E; D' Y* ^instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
3 V8 `5 Y9 K" N# \4 ?: ]; q9 {/ wthe
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
. K- ^9 E2 J$ G9 e( `* H3 kAchievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

; M6 w+ O# f% c7 o* M  j2 Pperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
+ a8 g2 I. o8 S! v/ e: ycrowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
