Standing Orders by April 15 and serve from May 1 to April 30 of the 2 p% b) Y1 C* x" c0 i: n! v

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:' ?. ?; V7 @( Q. m/ D0 G- w

1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.. c+ F" ~$ E" o1 P

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing 1 z' z" U2 H; a9 {
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

. E# q9 K$ Q" H; k7 r: z5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

referendum.

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a
* c0 J6 u: G( }- Bminimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,
5 ], J% W1 K. u& P W- \7 Q" Ffrom the first working day after nominations close until the last day # R- k c0 D2 s ?" `# C) _
of voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.4 O9 w/ ]% U+ k& V' `9 y
; `/ o* I( i, z2 }+ [) r& o11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during
4 f" W# n) m. ^7 P; E) p- u! V% Gthe course of an election/referendum.) r( y6 A- [# K: A3 |. J

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting 2 H: @) G4 y. W" c5 ^

- e: w+ _0 H% H& r13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report $ {% \9 U6 R( f$ u
of activities and recommendations.

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course & k3 j: c$ E' j6 U) u5 a6 ?7 N
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students' 2 ?! o. d$ z% }' V4 m
Union member.
! `1 o4 G" x( M9 C. ?' J- r3 H v' M" g* _2 u$ W
2) Must have some experience in student elections.

* v6 s) V/ n3 ?# C3 R3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or * x$ T6 {6 I% o: h) g
any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ; R2 G6 z' k* }# a; s5 u

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.6 B, G, E6 A4 I5 V3 K6 R/ k

5) Excellent project management skills are required.. v% i$ W: e3 u# ]4 n! M
