Position Abstract: The Executive Director provides day-to-day management
$ S% x4 U% ~9 W. O& H$ M; I; Yand leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a
/ ~5 q X' |7 Onon-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED
, d0 X) _* y- Jworks within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and1 P7 U! `8 M6 @0 D; M% u7 T6 _
policies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's% C- [: B; A- E* ~+ F
affairs at all times.

Primary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a O& t& T4 ^* b5 ^, |2 p/ U
vision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative
3 `& f8 \# U! {7 ?1 N" rarrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,6 Q" \" E$ I1 v, |
media/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports
' S# s K3 \ }for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures
/ i6 N) m; n5 m! N& l2 O6 f& Gto implement the organizational policies.; r/ Q$ m% G$ F2 N) c
& x' [5 K7 X! y# c2 q2 B; B% @/ OPLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded( _0 u2 o/ w3 r' G% m
as per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and
; [# I; d/ Q$ `5 j t; \services; Recruit, interview, select & coach staff/volunteers that have

the funds of the organization & monitor the monthly cash flow; Ensure* P; H/ c, L1 f/ e3 `5 `2 j

payable; Develop communication/marketing tools to increase awareness of$ X1 U& ^( f0 |) E" k. u! B
the organization & its programs; Work with website contractor/developer.

organizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to

managing projects and budgets.
