non-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED- T, E# t% y/ F3 \' C7 h
works within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and; Y4 E- h ?$ c& t2 G; l! X
policies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's

S+ O, x+ ]1 m: s% ]; gPrimary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a
% v( J$ N4 l: F& G/ hvision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative% D1 ?. ]2 l6 i+ ? t. d
arrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,' X, \) y8 i% z
media/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports
' D" H1 p* m4 s8 P1 Efor the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures
H w# \# J2 a2 I) a) x) ^to implement the organizational policies.
# ~$ k2 A! E9 y9 T5 E' X1 Z' q
: p9 D3 d2 B7 }& iPLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded# J* d" n5 i m! z k( y
as per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and: ^ B! L9 z: m( |! ?
services; Recruit, interview, select & coach staff/volunteers that have
9 c# \3 u9 J; [2 M6 R' nthe right abilities to help further the organization's mission. * a/ z5 A7 e: c3 y- b

In addition: Prepare budget; Search & secure adequate; oversees the9 L' s- N3 w! \. q
development of fundraising plans/writing funding proposals; Administer
7 |$ R" n1 _% M9 r9 Rthe funds of the organization & monitor the monthly cash flow; Ensure
9 r( a: u/ d7 ~that bookkeeping/accounting practices are followed; Process accounts
+ G& T9 v% n6 y) q, B- f0 _payable; Develop communication/marketing tools to increase awareness of
# M4 _5 ?& s% V& }) ?the organization & its programs; Work with website contractor/developer.

; ?! U( k: _% }. TKey Qualifications: Experience working with a number of different groups
4 }) u' s/ C# `& `% ^1 qincluding a Board of Directors, non-profit organizations, government- I! Q: E" N( i4 d4 E' ~ h6 u
partners sponsors, employees, volunteers, and youth; Understanding of7 A6 L- q8 i9 y- O" k5 t2 f
organizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to" {4 e) `" j3 i- u
work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and
% c4 A$ c+ z" |: A8 M, E0 omanaging projects and budgets.
