ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. . Community Initiatives Documenter
O% w0 {. r$ y! k0 _) q/ NThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.) E4 ?; K* V" {5 V0 o
& U5 f2 u+ L5 }9 oEducation Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.4 _: |6 z, {7 c4 K% C6 p

Qualifications:
4 [3 v: k+ s b& M Z1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
4 T7 e) k# y) O. J% S( n& ~2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.# z R/ T9 S* E2 r/ C
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.3 s+ n8 X, s5 o, K
4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.7 P$ d! m* H& q, m* t6 C# S
