ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans., f/ w) s; w% J U" T

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.5 P( |# p$ N9 W8 Z
W/ S! b: x+ n9 w9 y5 RQualifications:
: m; k- H7 ]6 M: g; C! C- X1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.0 H* J; K3 z1 b6 [- G
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.4 i D2 S) U3 m
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
