* t  F1 |+ t4 j1 G# XJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
3 _" C; L8 O/ X# M8 bOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
! v+ ?$ e, Q2 I: m/ sbeverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
2 ^) m) s* `9 G8 S/ g$ d3 {each shift, and upon closing.

3 W: a- H, O( z4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
9 o) @& w- B/ M) X. I/ i1 ?seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

& i% c; @/ X( }4 `( e6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
% D  f# l9 `% ~/ ?: U1 Fhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
; r8 N3 l# ]9 l
: h, G9 m( T" w$ F; K/ l1 D7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
2 l( n' W/ b( D0 F% Ahigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

3 X6 W; p3 x6 r* ]) LQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
5 ~  d5 _( r# x% ^( y
9 X: ]$ h5 s# i2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
0 _" B. e! N- u8 Z$ ]operation.
3 v/ K% i/ T7 j% Z2 W9 L
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

7 Q: p# L  f0 Y7 T/ O3 N; }7 V5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
2 q) t# H6 ?2 T1 |: M* [* g0 nUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
