" z- g. r/ I. w9 u( z9 n4 y3 [: nJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
) H8 _1 ~. j" F) a/ h0 A) `1 cprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
" [# ^3 J& [/ y: C% zcleanliness and order in the bar.

% V5 g! H% ?! i1 }DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
: C9 d  n. s1 a" x1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
5 S7 q9 F3 ?( ^" e0 dbeverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

- K6 G) [1 Z, L; E! Y7 |- ~3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

9 V1 d$ D6 ~; @# L5 `% T4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
7 E) b/ w; o/ W1 ^attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
" ]7 E* ]0 @9 l; R/ N0 |; Cseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
+ o9 ]3 Q  Z! d# X0 Vproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

, O1 @& X$ e7 r5 U: Y6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
1 M* E, z/ [5 U* i; Maccordance with Students' Union policies.

+ \' e5 H# C, d3 g1 @* Q  @# D: N  V7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
( r( W5 D0 G# N2 H- O4 Jhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
