' Z, S7 a- d) M  ^) y1 JJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  " R1 V! l9 D. _8 g+ x% t( w& S
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  3 f* y; b+ B, G1 W% M' j
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  8 {. P" Q# m8 b0 w
cleanliness and order in the bar.

; K" I& q( f2 U, f; ~DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:: x# I" x' ~8 y+ w8 ]5 d) K
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  " f  {. J; r$ v* b
beverage items.2 L! B3 R' R+ @/ Y
$ X& B9 y3 _/ k
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
! H- W* P" }' L9 @( o5 u1 zbar and debit floats.5 g% W! |+ J2 J8 v# I

$ N' A0 K& C$ a3 B3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
4 K1 v4 b9 t6 y) beach shift, and upon closing.6 d. F, F7 Q* S3 j2 R, [2 p8 L% V

* ?1 E$ Q' g- s# q: v/ R, Q. c4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  1 [9 e. m* N6 Y3 ]
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
2 ]! K$ v6 A( Fseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces., A5 Z  ?5 X: `/ u0 a. J/ u5 m: u

3 w+ h4 o3 _. z% N5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
+ O) m. K% m' K4 U3 ]storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
- ?  f0 W5 l9 ^6 T8 Lproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
& C! S4 {6 [+ O  |
! C) \. j. H/ U3 T, }0 u6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  2 b7 H2 g; a7 X. w
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  - h, F! g& B0 Z5 _; y; `
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  0 D/ O+ k: d5 L* p+ O) N5 ?
accordance with Students' Union policies.# F; |, ]- r5 h8 r" E

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  2 w! j1 h( ^7 `" @0 v; }

QUALIFICATIONS:3 c% g# S5 y; Y4 Z/ m5 _  l: p
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.' \& X) k- r6 j- L+ w, }! C, _

) \0 U* |6 u0 o! S2 o9 E2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
' A2 [# B& l9 ^) n% K" H, a( F) y9 _operation.9 S1 ?  b0 n' x. n, \; Y7 n% z
. z0 c: Q# W, l0 n8 S5 w
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  5 F1 t5 s# {$ j8 e
accordance with Students' Union policy./ }% V2 M4 `, F+ s% m

1 A& Z5 }7 r" V, l4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
! X, I& _0 w/ U2 ~0 D) X8 {& Q. V8 I7 Z
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
  ^" y& k+ r; q0 K3 Y! `% a3 sUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
* C% v3 H1 p* f3 k- vattitude.

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
