22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  & x2 o9 ?/ _1 }3 r# G! f* `- H
through Friday

' Q$ c5 y) V, l2 B8 {JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  7 V1 x% x0 H. d3 Y. n
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  7 U3 [/ s% {" r) q* T
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
: w0 ~1 E1 G  o9 N; `: Xcleanliness and order in the bar.; ?! b0 G1 @. h% m: @

0 Y) B5 e* y7 r& b( p; FDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:7 c0 m5 Q! {5 s1 X
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  - \. [8 Z) C  K; _
beverage items., W3 y5 V0 y4 @6 ?
+ U2 e1 m: P' y- v* ?
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  ; w. q, r3 a3 d3 r- [
bar and debit floats., M* |  |% {) U9 c" y7 O1 S- n
% N! D: S$ ^" O
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  - R; ~0 g) N# I: ]+ N6 m
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
+ C- C: m9 J1 V- e' J; ]/ v- ^, Lattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
9 k$ |" r9 t- _9 y2 h  Aseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
! u2 C* f+ A' K6 G' |6 ^storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  3 T7 Y7 @+ B( w
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.# S$ w. \+ z0 R5 r* c' N, ~6 p

7 a* n  s5 a( l4 I1 o$ i6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  / Z' _; @& Y* U5 m' A. Y
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  7 Y- E; v7 G( i' b- P, g
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
6 P4 Q2 k& {; M& Zaccordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
5 R) U) d2 ^6 E0 H+ f$ Ghigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.- [3 }+ s( g4 [+ v
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
( \% y/ [$ \* h, f9 F6 s" n. z" eAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.  z7 J. Z8 ^- z+ M/ i$ m4 U

Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

. I; O9 H. ~( E% b5 `1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  3 K* S9 Y! L" \: n3 Q0 `. S4 ~

accordance with Students' Union policy.
