JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
. F" y$ a' s. U+ b9 vcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
8 I4 z" [# G* x' E) fcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
: {: ^# a1 Q1 g3 W1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
, O4 D! ~& D4 D( Z& r$ F
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
1 U% D( ~+ o% B( P' h5 h/ E2 `7 ^high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
3 Y% h# R" ?1 B. t$ L/ Jaccordance with Students' Union policies.
' Y" ^; t$ [( A% ]5 o6 G0 u5 L. p. }$ d
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
0 V' |+ h' c& r3 l) J) f8 W$ E0 Pand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
- y8 g  K$ v1 Sintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

# D6 s0 R2 [$ Y9 p7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


9 n9 Z. N8 f! U# T' T( G; FQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

5 n3 s: h2 a! B- N8 a+ W2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
3 T/ g( m0 t* S5 `; R# \# koperation.
& n0 p4 [% J3 g1 B
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
6 [! B% [: X7 G# s& @6 T3 Spolicy.

& r2 d. X% s2 |$ i4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
0 s; Z6 G& ]) D5 hcard transactions.
# E& g& D  s. ~5 X& ^7 w
  A$ Z- s/ n# e4 Q$ H3 N; |' ^5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
# C% N: ^& C5 W5 w( q+ wprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
; o. j& X* _% O8 h/ l# w9 Rpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
