11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

) @/ Z$ i, i; Y# x3 q; ^5 vJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
% T+ z2 z% L3 |8 w( {Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
7 l8 O7 R! M/ G' W* ]0 l3 ccarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
  Z8 a! t" H- g/ r- q1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
6 e, I, i+ j% E7 |0 S; x8 Z1 m( Worders.

. _5 }  K: B6 N+ U' J3 R* U2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
6 P) {4 g* W, G% S) fhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

9 M$ C% e! w8 W8 {3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

' V- P/ H4 S) }& g; H6 x! [4 P4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
- y8 `; f- y( s6 T2 s. Oand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
2 i: a' k5 e) \( r# Saction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
( h; d( N. }; C6 w! Aintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
; A/ _0 x$ r! W- O6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
. a: o  n6 F, q: |1 v, r: V1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
7 }. N  `0 Q3 L: _& q/ I! Y  noperation.

5 }: X; y7 |' S7 z# L/ P3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
# l* G( `: {6 ~policy.
( a9 ?# Y, |6 R2 C2 p/ d
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
7 o& f% [& u5 k0 g% v2 B
. B8 J; f/ b6 u5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
0 e9 ]5 b6 t& f$ X" }+ C, [purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
