JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
* r  r$ E: T+ L9 i" [' ~% _Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
  S; p" I% V; Kcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

8 M% H1 {) H2 k# _5 s, cDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
  o. |2 m# t% Sorders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
& W: v) L# e: n2 `' G2 b/ yhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
5 e* c1 P: _( w# c0 baccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

. a5 F* T5 |% R' ~& m4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
- {. [8 F0 [7 u  ~and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
& H5 a; k. U! K% P( p
$ E# \. h7 |- b& y3 ~5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
' g7 S* p, @: i' B9 haction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
# W' M! ]: N+ c4 ~& i4 B  M" ?intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
9 R4 @$ a/ X) u- m5 S! l8 }6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

8 S* o3 N+ k% C% [- o7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

5 V. b8 J/ ~; ]7 {: a3 V2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
1 h8 V# P5 L; |& roperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
: a0 q5 M$ l) B5 E) Y3 K* Icard transactions.
; ]5 G' J. B9 P2 ?' {! \# f4 H
" B" I6 I" t% R8 K3 {7 \  a5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
$ X: C- W8 l) Y" ~4 e# Oprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
