JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
! F' d: F; R$ A0 Y6 D6 PBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
$ I. u2 M4 @: M' T5 o$ z. ^carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

; x/ s) ~+ V0 a3 V/ g1 W
- S9 a- _; C8 _; I+ [7 sDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

- U' t5 Z0 i5 o( v9 k, {. _% D/ @2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
" y" ~9 a+ x' v& ?( b' p1 s% C* Faccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
3 ]- z" {" T! i7 R( C  d2 k' f0 utotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
7 X4 R" }3 T% c/ w& ~including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
/ i: i, `% @# \8 S! k' c, Xand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

- q+ M, ?! S6 C; X; M' n; \$ S3 T5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
1 m- L7 r+ L. H& c& ?) R9 y6 \& fintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
5 s( y! ~) `" mAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

/ n$ I0 o+ m5 f" \/ L- I  x; WQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

1 V: o8 I- M& D( h/ O  L2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
/ _! M' u9 s3 m8 Aoperation.
$ `: M& b& @; B, P
" |% m0 ]6 t/ c7 P3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
0 f+ s! u# ~$ J- k( f- o+ q
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
& z" k& M  a% o1 q7 t& ccard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
