- `% y" ]7 K- `$ g  Y11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
2 B( p% m+ s9 Y, cBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
5 d1 o7 q, a% D. H: `carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.
! A5 {/ ?( h- m1 e$ G

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
! a: E* r- p/ S) ?1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
9 {- h* M9 i3 d( z( H% y2 e6 Lorders.

6 v! l2 |) N6 j2 C; _6 T. y6 E% |2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

0 z! }$ [2 o$ s6 ^8 N& Z/ ~/ I4 K3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
5 E2 s0 c9 K. c" x9 Itotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
# `* I/ l1 T. H( e* }/ |including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
" [4 I9 G4 \! e, Y4 \and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
" z5 @, a& L9 J6 C" _
9 S3 i  n; d4 j# k! ~# Q9 }5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
5 l2 q& |1 G- \7 Yintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

! D7 S9 L1 _; T! n2 lQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
7 `8 e& N+ ]( P- r; P, D
# O6 I( y* o( X' N) I2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
. E# M: [! C7 m/ }& u& loperation.
* U& ^* V7 E3 |
) F, S" B/ T$ F3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
- {/ p. y& ?' A! T2 epolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
; k9 R, q+ C4 d6 w6 g; a
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
5 Y3 j9 y) P( f4 u' Fprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
8 |, V( t" r: E- Hpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
