11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
$ q( e+ g8 h# x7 N1 E! }3 gBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
; R& X" b/ E( K5 v* k3 gcustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
" ^* w* x/ E3 p1 ?8 I9 ?  Iorders.

$ y6 o, J; n& S/ e2 |, m" @  D( K6 ^2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

8 n3 a" Y3 H9 a$ O3 Y3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
- S3 n, N! c: j5 y% q' B0 a+ n. atotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

# w  |, ?& Y8 T1 U# H# u4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
( m2 v3 n) F7 f' m1 [5 g, \9 Eincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
, L6 x) l+ g* x7 ?4 ?2 c/ nand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

8 Z0 y, k1 b  A. H. z1 z5 h8 M/ O  k5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
# @' Q; y, Q+ a, A' Uaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

. x) k" k+ g) q" X7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
; F2 \& j, t9 b  z0 I1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

, A4 O5 q3 w  F2 H/ Q2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
4 u9 E% p% K* S" J0 K
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
+ ?! @# _  ], p9 B6 npolicy.
$ H+ v! p" j) A2 E( G0 A3 D; i0 I5 k
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
' c* N4 _/ u7 j' C4 Ecard transactions.

8 [/ |/ Z: O. p( D, N7 `, _5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
& c  B, h6 {1 k+ Xprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
