Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
& A* x  G& ^2 A& G- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
8 R7 H6 |& v! u" Tschool year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
; Q/ w2 d' T0 J4 @participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
3 U3 y" a: F( p5 G2 htheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
1 u% F: ^2 x4 u3 b% U: c; [their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
2 J: N/ H2 I0 Fassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
1 @% Z$ U) ^8 N2 g% tvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
$ T! t6 ~& N: Routings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
8 q2 o3 z) ~+ l0 r1 h  R( Aexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
. L4 X1 `; j& U; w! epresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
  C+ i& i- ]" d# Q6 S8 e( GCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
8 Z2 P( F# E1 |. \fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
) G; X+ ]0 g4 ^2 A9 Fdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
$ }7 I4 @. y. w# F4 k9 J, PExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
