Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
- U( F6 c6 X9 @8 q) p. C) f$ G4 ^etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
6 e3 j* c- o  U1 b. B% Jparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
" }3 d- z* k# A1 T' @. Stheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
- o% u) E/ F4 _, t8 |assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
# \; |2 l2 u4 |9 ^* dvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
  b% A7 A4 y6 f$ H) @0 Eoutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
( q8 ]4 M& T- ]; H' Uexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
) h# V  B8 l( A! k% Q% j% q+ zsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
0 u# T' w( p+ J7 e- F6 s9 E# G' I, Cpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

' P" p& h! @$ E6 TQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
4 T' u: E% r9 K% uCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
1 Z2 j5 X* e( ~# X& W3 J( H3 Vfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
