recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
" [; A, U0 Y* h7 ^technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
" l2 N! O8 w( [  n2 Hinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
1 q2 h0 `/ J. n6 H9 wcompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
& n4 w9 h# [  n6 d% YChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
8 b8 s0 q7 i' R: ~4 Oanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
  `* Q/ Y) |9 hseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
" F* f$ ~, H0 P7 T" vhope to work in these areas.
