Job Summary:
: g* [9 A" N" H! BThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.# r8 y9 @9 ]* R" n+ f6 [

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials: k# ?5 S9 `5 F/ x$ |0 I
Inspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials7 m0 E% ^+ l! @7 P' l
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material# S8 ~6 ^ b4 F' ?8 h3 ^9 K( i% L: J
Must be able to work safely at all times
8 L6 p: h. j1 @* r; N: I9 x! F! XBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
8 ]2 {: o' `$ R& w2 `Performs routine housekeeping.- h0 e- D+ S1 \8 ?3 i0 x3 W% d. j
Observes and reports any safety issues

Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization0 [6 C/ |* @8 R$ l% y
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
