Non-ferrous Laborer

Job Summary:
/ O8 _2 [; P% S, L X X) ?The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.4 j9 F. R9 d: `. u. R3 x$ D0 t( k# L

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:
! j* @7 d" S$ P- N
: d) E9 ^, P$ l* @4 BMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
! @7 M# w, x1 _" z# k' fInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
[ v- a7 Z" H2 VLoads and unloads non-ferrous material# f' x7 C; ^: \- T1 L5 b `* ^( M% x( o
Must be able to work safely at all times
' G' ?# Q4 Q* e. q& UBe able to effectively perform tasks independently1 ~* k7 B1 N& k* f2 {4 h, Z
Performs routine housekeeping.( P2 J2 q8 ]: M* d6 ^. S
Observes and reports any safety issues

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
* c) w9 N% a5 ]9 g, UKnowledge of non-ferrous processing
* z B! \ A4 t2 cHigh school diploma (Or GED)$ D/ l) [) t- H$ Y5 O
Well-articulated and assertive
* X! l; R4 j/ NAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization1 n! S& o2 g9 B9 a. Z% v6 O# n! V
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
