Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
( g' M; i9 Y2 E; H- Pweekend hours.8 {2 [6 P( t; F8 z2 O8 y- g
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
) ~4 ?! G9 q# j( ]1 U# a9 u9 b6 }lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
! K% X `+ u t: F+ Scentre.2 T( J! h* S8 ?9 P4 w/ ]; N) i; [
These responsibilities include:
, P& i# c2 u0 b" ^-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC." d, t( D9 c3 H7 F
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
( @, K2 }2 X) p: o* G& ^-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and; `8 {) ^4 a: }/ F8 f
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
8 R5 P0 d2 i' B; ^ k3 M. @) r& \facilities’ maintenance, etc. ' z7 [2 K6 M; ^7 p
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, - U$ Q4 s4 ]+ i6 n5 l/ c* ~8 x. ]
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:6 P7 S! a2 d: y n: h7 R
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.. [1 N, J# q/ h) E; t
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word. @2 |; m' w+ T B6 R9 ~

-Experience using and updating an information database. . V) @) f: m' m2 G# ]4 |
