CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
( h1 Z/ F7 H" r
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
; x2 i/ ]7 Q- b+ J+ r9 m
6 P! L4 H9 h- d, m· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

) j# ?( Y" ]+ c# [· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

: b, ?# }9 R% t( r  Z# {· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

) Q# d$ D$ r0 P· Operate manual and automatic shifts

# K) B6 o. I) A· Secure loads safely

; h. r5 \" f. ?# ^· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
2 D, Z8 R  \# g2 L/ m0 A
) @! k6 a  i# u2 W( m  p· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
3 w2 d" \- F7 c% y- u) `
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

) z! u$ d4 P6 ?$ L) p# b" y1 `· Load securement certification
3 c% ~. p0 O( v/ W
& W6 Y8 n% W" M) A/ j# C, \1 g2 b· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
8 a/ N- ]# z! ]$ k: D' z% S) S
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

) k1 |; D( {$ A" o3 g3 l· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
