CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

; r- N0 Y* [& I7 r- b· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
3 A0 ~# u( A+ e7 P  p9 b
; X; a6 b2 X8 E3 l% A9 r· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
) a0 a( x5 O1 X# L+ O5 y; `
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

0 x  r: R1 W' N; q* ?· Operate manual and automatic shifts
0 |+ D2 d4 z; ]& s, C0 ~0 ^) G) _
( M7 s  V) u' i' z- m" k: Z· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
/ g6 A1 J' S* R* Y9 t
8 D  ?- b! ^) W· Minimum 3 years experience

- A) L% V- y* t# R; |· Valid Class 1 license
, c* ?2 w2 y# M+ J% c
% x, Y! f8 \2 J  x* T- N· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

* q) A1 D9 o" c* q+ T8 o· Excellent organizational and time management skills

4 ]* a+ O% W7 r5 q· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
