Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
! i5 `( C+ }. C$ I0 f7 ?
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
/ N2 J7 x- }) }; h  ]4 e
; @/ B- Z6 K8 t3 ~9 L3 c: r' m( K· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

4 H& Q8 |% d# E· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
: n! X; \* u6 q4 Z/ O. HQualifications and Training Requirements

$ i5 W  M5 s$ |# D4 e· Minimum 3 years experience
! s& S: @0 j" R  A
2 `' h! W9 W3 t( V, F2 ]( Z· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

$ r% C; a3 F3 a$ R% a4 @2 d) w· Load securement certification
* b4 x8 D3 a" X  E3 Q( x+ o; u" ?
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

! M0 |6 [: a/ h" _# q: T· Excellent organizational and time management skills

4 G9 y. m% y, l· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
