EDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants.5 \% c" H0 V# n2 I
4 F/ l: t m+ [2 o- nThe two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.! P( A% t$ E- o' W

“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge./ ~$ b& y4 y; C2 e& L

It also will include hotel-quality washrooms and private sitting rooms for nursing mothers.
