Average house prices have hit half a million dollars in southwest Edmonton and almost $400,000 across the Capital region.

# y7 \' c8 [ F: e6 |“It is clear that housing prices have not yet peaked,” Carolyn Pratt, president of th Edmonton Real Estate Board said Wednesday, releasing the March sales figures from the Mutiple Listing Service.

Edmonton-area prices averaged $398,476 for single-family homes and $325,339 for all housing forms.

# q6 W1 f* m; e2 M3 y4 Z3 a( ?4 FIn only the first three months of this year, average home prices have climbed 12.4 per cent, so Pratt has abandoned her earlier forecast of a 15 per cent increase for the full year.
