As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:7 c7 B5 J' l8 e2 a4 d3 C' \3 @
]9 _) H$ S9 r7 O% b
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
; O8 D( H) g% F! x- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. . O( y/ ?' p9 @1 ?7 }( J8 C
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
& I& t6 V( c; V L) S4 ?- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
; a" q) }5 r7 Z7 k Y) `6 ?- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
/ ]* V. R" r, Z% e" s" Z& v- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
' `% ~# L+ B$ ]- L% `- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Strong leadership skills ) h8 G: i2 a, O- {; x1 |. j5 K
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 5 D! l( ~, w$ v
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ! M* ]7 j: |0 G1 I/ q. T( U5 l
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
, R* P& S( d8 ?. c- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.6 C5 K+ V% g4 V+ I; w# _7 m* x) H
