; E6 l/ }3 N% A; V9 gPolice Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.+ `7 L) ^9 }4 O% I8 u1 x3 |
McIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.+ j7 r& w* c+ c3 K) c% f
Six-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.7 \/ [# k8 h2 n
