Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
. V6 h: a9 b5 L/ }1 E4 _( ?9 g" w  t9 \- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
$ ^' }9 G6 a6 R$ s% |% o& U. F- Supervise kitchen staff
: H) b) n9 I% A& c/ F/ m- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
" O* s3 p7 D0 i. Y- Manage kitchen operations
* R/ g) [/ I7 @7 E" O- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
! ]5 H9 t% e( f9 M2 c, f- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
# x& d# i  m1 D9 a% t  e  I- Good proficiency in English.
/ ]# ]5 M' @! h$ ?, t$ T- Highly organized.
* V. \, Q) F8 N* ^This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
7 _" g' J& J7 o7 NWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
