Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
# k& L! D* ?% K/ g) J. d- \! v! p8 g- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
  ?+ m7 t* ^- u; e- Supervise kitchen staff
9 ?7 [0 T. ^1 K6 B: o- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
; Z3 y6 K: H- O- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
7 y) ^7 C: h9 G: Z# k8 B5 V- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
: r+ J  f+ R) e5 {- Work night shifts, as necessary
/ b% Y/ C7 o5 f+ C% WRequirements:
# E6 e9 T% s9 K7 @; y- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
; F, `, ]& F. n" F2 j- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
5 k! Q# h3 a  p/ c0 Q* X- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
) Z# S0 K) D& q. k; f: J+ \This is a contract, full-time position.
& i! H) u  V, q* FWorking hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
Working schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
Location: Simonette Camp (51.5 km west of Fox Creek), Alberta
