The Alberta Tories continue to slide, while the NDP surges and the Wildrose maintains the lead, according to the latest election poll released Tuesday morning.( Z4 O1 g! p2 W+ `1 C8 \, s
* r/ i( C+ I3 Y' T$ t1 ~The NDP is dominating Edmonton at 51%, according to the survey, and is in a three-way race in Calgary.+ z+ c- P7 e9 s* V3 ~; d4 s

The telephone poll of 3,121 Albertans conducted Monday showed that compared to a week earlier:! J1 D8 z) f/ j3 i) q4 o0 v

Wildrose is flat with 24% support+ P _+ d- {* |7 k/ Q; H
NDP increased to 23% support, up 3%6 h/ j+ o ^ Q& m3 i
The PCs dropped to 18%, down 3%

Maggi said there is still time for the Tories to swing momentum as, with nearly three weeks before the May 5 vote, “more and more people will be paying attention.”0 g$ E6 v4 s7 ^' F6 j- X

“The window of opportunity for that correction is closing quickly,” Maggi noted.+ Z. \# x' a! o) J) \9 e {; m

He said the election could turn into a two-way race between the NDP and Wildrose, leaving the possibility Tories shift votes to the Wildrose, or vice versa, to stifle NDP momentum.
