昨天收到通知, 酒税今天起增加, 主要内容如下:% J" E' R. E7 f4 C& j( _
4 _* y" R: b! c( ROn March 26, 2015, the Government of Alberta announced an increase in the liquor2 F5 Z" @& ]" ~6 \* b5 j r8 s
mark-up rates. The new rates will be effective as of March 27, 2015.' C$ u8 x3 u; q; h* F9 [3 s- v1 L

The increase is a 22-cent per litre increase for most products. The exceptions are
6 w8 [7 X$ _( u F6 a( W) dproducts from small breweries, and products from cottage wineries that sell at farmers’
- _5 s# c4 p) U0 Qgates/markets, with no increase. Mid-sized breweries have an increase of 11 cents per1 ?2 u- d, ^' h, {; p
litre applied to their products. This across-the-board increase maintains the flat nature* O% |* L( u) k" v
of Alberta’s liquor mark-up. In addition, Alberta will still have liquor mark-up rates that) h9 E7 P+ j" s
are among the lowest in the country.1 I$ K1 p# h$ l1 `, C- H
. R# s4 V5 I. F- f- dSome of the impacts on the wholesale prices are:$ L$ f$ n! w1 k! G% ~8 E# X5 X, E. q
· Beer: 90 cents per dozen; approximately 8 cents per 341ml bottle or 355ml can.
