2 y6 H1 h9 k! z& r1 W$ UAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

# C' P$ m l# ?- S* oShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.2 U2 X# q7 D2 n* t* E) @+ b
; Z/ `8 i+ }: h+ }8 w3 l) d/ WThe man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.! h3 D) D5 Z/ H" S5 u, {3 Y
+ ~$ h, q l _Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said., E' ]( @/ v6 u! V/ G

A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. ) B/ {/ q* J: E$ @) iRivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.
