# D8 T0 e5 X/ d9 bAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.& ]0 Y0 w1 `$ d4 S9 |

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.% } ^, B3 G$ D; n! ^
1 M8 J3 Y2 P2 ~$ V9 cSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.4 x( c4 F/ r9 q( Y2 ^

* R: P s$ e, [6 {A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The names of the man and woman are not being made public by the RCMP.
