Uncovered decks are subject to specific Zoning Bylaw and Alberta Building Code regulations. You may need a development permit and a building permit:8 u) Z; g' T" {5 l# q3 b
• You will need a development and buiding permit if the deck floor is over 0.6 metres (m) or 2 feet (ft) above grade., f; }/ l, N1 n9 x. X
• If the deck is above 1.8 m (6 ft) you will need to talk to a Building Technical Advisor from our office. ( W4 Z, {2 f9 K! \( m. R• If the deck will be built on a corner lot or in the front yard of any lot, you will need to talk to a Development Planner from our office.
