A Course for Immigrant Women

Are you an immigrant woman who:

-  arrived in Canada less than three years ago?
-  has taken an English language assessment test?
-  scored at least a Level 3 of the Canadian Language Benchmarks (LINC)?

If the answers are yes, then you are invited to apply to attend our pre-employment program

MAKING CHANGES PROGRAM is a pre-employment, life skill orientation program with an English component.  It is a two week program requiring four days a week or once a week for eight weeks for a total of 48 hours.

THE COURSE OFFERS:

0 V1 U$ W. O+ K* _0 S•        Counseling to help you find what is right for you.
% e, ^3 Y4 Y. Z& r•        Opportunity to develop your English Language skills.
- @7 v; q  A& M" P. M•        Opportunities in class to practice difficult situations, e.g. a job interview or proper telephone etiquette.
. ^8 d: R) h# U2 a: e) F( M•        Information about community agencies and services.
7 d3 K6 `/ f4 [. j0 W0 c" \* W•        Information about going back to school, returning to work, or changing your job.
( K, S  o! s; T+ ~•        Continued support after the course to help you carry out your plan.

3.  August  21, 2006 – Sept. 1, 2006                Mon. Tues. Thurs and Fri. from 10:00-4:00 p.m.
4.  Oct. 21, 2006 – Dec. 9, 2006                Saturdays from 10:00 – 4:00 p.m.

哈哈....那地方啊,我刚登陆那会,还到过那当Volunteer呢!那是半年前的事了, 总的说那里的人还是很NICE的!
