买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:: v' Q/ I6 M. z( Q* _8 f3 \
•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
5 _* Z. L9 D0 R5 I/ L•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).
1 l% i* H8 N9 p9 c) Q$ J0 |1 _So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.1 p/ n( }6 P9 M' o) J6 n+ I

When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
