Job Description:

* x. h. o- j# Q( |•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.( E4 K4 a7 n, E3 Z
•        Oversee hotel security requirements. $ g# F, O7 m% Z6 t; @
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
  c2 ?3 x" M4 M% k8 B8 U•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation. & q9 S3 ?1 _; R6 l$ f
•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.% [6 A+ j$ O) B# ^  t8 t
•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.  }2 |) _2 D1 Z- x. B
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests., C1 l% c# d# e6 @6 a( J
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.
9 U7 G% d" r  W( N& [# c* B•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
  A  T$ ?7 ?' p) K•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
. G, q5 \( x/ k; [+ f•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
2 H  N& q& J& g7 i$ [1 }8 D' j•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
" K; u) K% _* }/ S6 o4 L9 g" N! D•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.
' n2 m3 u& X2 k. h•        Attend Cluster meetings. " ?4 m$ C; c  ]7 o0 [. R* }+ M
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
! \6 S4 u' O2 E0 k, k) o•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department   E% ]: I& ^/ i5 F" |  }
•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies
+ X8 `: y: c* T6 @•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center4 ^9 r/ e0 B  l. F* e7 [
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float 2 D, U( u) S' |4 \3 X' g8 H0 y, y
•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager/ d  V; D; V8 _+ c

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property+ v% m3 O8 d& ~1 W
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;2 @+ s0 K8 T1 w1 L
• Ability to lead and develop;- Q1 h: S- @. e4 Z3 {
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
1 M. I  r, s: V% |. j$ U$ \• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;+ V$ `2 v# |5 V) t8 G! ]& v
• Ability to work within deadlines;6 k* W% j2 @" A$ ?5 u
• High level of creativity and innovation;# L: F( m8 Z; h! Y* z9 k: c+ d
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;$ t! }! J# x4 B/ Q
• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
