Position Title: Outreach Worker
Terms of Employment: Temporary(3 months), Full Time(35 hours per week)

Job Description
% @# y- B) q1 f-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
: ^2 Z% @: y5 C7 T-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
* M3 a3 t" S) l" g-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
( y8 m; G7 O" G8 B8 s) c6 a-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
* ]* }* x; Z; ~# V& X-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
/ z0 {/ _: @1 r7 W1 g. y0 I-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-fluent in English and Chinese
-good interpersonal and people skills
-valid driver’s license
