Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

. Q( | E$ Q/ K( d& ]7 W+ M' tResponsibilities and Tasks/ ~0 u/ [, y6 y4 Y7 O
1 a- O) I$ o" E( y$ U8 R( _/ k _
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
4 n* l4 }. r8 z: H0 s( L- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
9 k! z( G" F' q" X4 L- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
# C8 a% B0 f7 i. u s/ r/ |- Select type and size of pipe required
3 n3 E! Y1 I6 C: ]- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools1 C' T2 l3 m& ]1 r4 K; q/ R8 k$ E7 [' O
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
) M$ O) G' }. j- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems; U. d3 `6 Z* S/ W
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment0 s# s9 E J$ [
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
2 O; Q+ \3 x$ T- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
! G" N* h/ w$ o8 F+ r- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
1 e$ K4 z, ]) [8 M9 h- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

# o& l% `* E! j. u# f& d0 iRequired Qualifications. h& ?- V7 i& _

- Completion of secondary school
' j0 K! L. _: Q3 ]- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
, K! m( K8 k+ b" o) a2 Q- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
6 o/ e: Q( g. S# M `- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
$ m9 X; f! ?( D- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
- L; o5 L1 c( ]5 ~- Safety tickets are considered an asset2 a: \' s$ Z0 `( z
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset5 z0 L. U# g ~0 |7 ~: x! n' S9 A+ S
- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
