Responsibilities

·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear
/ q/ q/ p! ?( h) b* C- L
·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

( u6 Z, h6 f, B4 }& n$ Q·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings
6 M/ P4 z% T/ H) D1 b/ v/ d+ k
·         Reviewing vendor drawings

( G  d& R5 |1 I0 b# I·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

- P5 Z. I+ F! k3 k·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Position Requirements

- {) @: ]/ C( D·         BSc in Electrical Engineering

! s' l1 L3 i8 u, W8 M9 z$ W2 L) s·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

5 m* ]- t, h3 J·         Attention to detail is a must

·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

9 h% W0 f' Q2 \+ \·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

6 t5 g" i6 V5 x" Z! m, p·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously

·         Strong interpersonal skills.

·         Possess a Class 5 driver’s license

Work Conditions

Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
