Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. / z. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person. @3 q- r; W. T0 C
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 i( U! L) p: \( h# ]/ J• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately) L: ~/ C Y' _" H& E( ]
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( J2 ]1 }! ~5 D' N
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
' O9 A8 J4 e7 o% W! i! f7 W• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% N# V% i9 I' X• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ H0 q' f4 s0 D4 Q7 s• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ e( W. d8 A7 Y: q6 n% j$ R
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset ~) M+ [! Q* u$ i( K$ m. v. _
• Good English writing and oral communication skills* R5 H! O' O4 @# H$ }5 \
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% x1 d5 g! G- v( k9 q$ E4 [• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' J! r! F0 \0 I! n# u2 u- c' U
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
) B- R8 |; A9 [6 A% d• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
0 O) A E* X) C& ~8 ]$ ^' @' `0 s: V• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 x% H( C1 Y6 n/ u3 \• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! n) P7 g5 h9 e
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
