Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

! h- s6 {+ \) {+ U4 HPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
3 g$ n O+ r& D( L• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 j: |; ?7 X8 u+ P
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 L) ?. T7 k2 L0 d6 B• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& V& h4 K; o$ A. w6 W• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: r* X! k+ ?" n3 U I6 N+ Q
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
# z, ]/ r7 e6 N" r• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 q( L& E* @- U3 u4 p. \4 \1 ?" v
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 C, h1 G9 ^7 e( A2 u6 x* E
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
! T) r$ a8 ]6 U' Z* E& H0 C% U7 H; s• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
+ J) W. `) g1 b! I0 o4 k• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
6 U+ w6 \# n( j' }; U0 p E• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately , [: R2 o! Q7 G, I

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
k! q9 @4 G2 Q# e4 D& T• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment V/ H, I* l' v. K
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
2 N4 U/ U' R/ `7 t& U3 ^• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
