Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- h7 ]3 C7 l- w- c" h• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 c% b( t* y! p; V
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) H0 Q% [* ` v. A) K
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
; w- H5 X2 h7 a4 L2 P• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" h8 _: ?: a3 A) A3 P: R! Y# j
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
7 n4 a2 v0 ~ b/ J• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events8 H6 n# ]# {: O9 A p& V" f# n! X
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean" _0 X0 x: b# r V& o# W2 v0 {" }
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person I* ~# G; W3 {) V8 o X
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset: T. h7 {; {: j" q% z' d z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills' {& V9 k4 I6 N
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
! U4 a- }: t! P+ T2 h/ B7 W• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:% U7 D( K. y8 \+ s
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
, t; ?: ]3 n/ V1 V/ R• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' p' h6 [) C/ c& ^: C• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
