G: S* f; n0 z) b' nPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
* ]$ W! M% o9 N2 D9 T5 i$ d• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST: L9 a/ A4 j- K% d [
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 b% B" @* x+ h$ C: h
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
! {' J( P' ?! d• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents( W/ h8 { c! x( V
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker. r4 N7 ?. m) B8 Y# B' W/ U: _& @. U
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
+ u1 G* ?6 u$ n3 c% q' t' ? b• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 ^8 d* t$ e% E! g+ z# [( x
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
# J9 ^/ d# ^3 l0 X5 U! g+ c# {2 @• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

7 k; W) z) w& \, ` a• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" `* ~1 }& J4 Q( r, I6 l. }• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
* e# }# s+ G% z! I7 |; ^) [ I• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services/ N1 }) {$ Z1 o8 U: s8 T: m
% Z) Q8 n6 f6 n; q; yQualifications:; p7 p4 v4 B3 a) a* p! Z
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ }$ n$ N7 \# P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
) |- y, o7 Y' B; v7 L/ e, k; z• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
! u+ r9 I! ?" X1 H0 Y1 n2 S1 d• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
