Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 d( W' L- v" h( r4 G5 z# u0 o• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately0 i" ~' i. {* p/ C/ _3 Z4 [
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ Q: {7 x) b2 j
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
) i# N/ q) X+ r: R) M8 l5 X• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; M% _' m9 S$ I4 P, i( s6 }: T
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% T; `9 [8 M0 r
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- H5 Z# c" i' o
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person# w) }) W1 ]9 ]8 R2 ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' Y0 R& {# N! j) E! {- y
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
5 N0 v& n. s- F; }• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& H( ] U" S0 Y' H% x• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 X @. y" e# U& f, U% v, D2 f' V
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism& e# \7 B. e- {9 e [, l5 B
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision$ N5 p" ~1 y! N4 F8 R$ W4 J
