Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
8 f# {3 V/ Z1 N( Z-        submit information for community news
-        provide volunteers to update membership database
-        recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
-        train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
% }1 j+ @0 K+ l7 v  s+ j$ a-        train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
& H+ e: Z/ c3 ^  }-        provide volunteers for various programs
-        coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
* A" G7 ]1 d5 \) L+ z# {- l: D5 P-        planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
-        participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
/ y9 K1 T' ?1 m-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
-        assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
-        provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
& g+ e7 Z6 u& T* k: C-        promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events  
-        development and distribution of a volunteer manual  
-        planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
-        planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

-        evaluations

Qualifications
-        degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services

-        management and supervision skills
-        exceptional communication, interpersonal skills

这个职位不是义工，而是义工统筹员，是有报酬的一个part time工作，而报酬的金额根据教育和经验程度而定。
