Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator
: {) g. A! Z/ R/ hHours of Work: 17.5 hours per week

" Y8 [6 v& G8 j, D; Y-        submit information for community news
-        provide volunteers to update membership database
-        recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
-        train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
-        train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
& z* ]8 D( m/ a# f1 T-        provide volunteers for various programs
-        coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
-        planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
* ~* x+ `* P: u4 N-        participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
-        assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
  \& }4 g1 u4 r5 Y) W& F-        provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
-        promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events  
-        development and distribution of a volunteer manual

+ a, q  m# R9 O0 O* J% z# H1 @4 B-        planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
-        consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications
-        degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
& l+ |6 I* _( n; n-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
; R! C! @% j8 [( N+ @% Z9 ~-        leadership skills
-        management and supervision skills
1 c% [6 C; T4 @. M-        exceptional communication, interpersonal skills

8 A+ i1 h, `7 V' }Standard Requirements
