- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
6 `, i( J, C6 u) K A8 e, ]7 |- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
8 S* X2 d' V0 B+ U7 @( p6 [( X- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties9 q4 M) a2 {$ t% d* T
- provide volunteers for various programs
& B2 U* x# }4 z5 a2 Q- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
# l" m1 g6 x" C6 g3 B4 V- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
# w+ A& u3 b4 q3 J& T3 f- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) j/ S: I d. m
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services j! X" x" U8 b9 J% \
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports- X( a3 e% V# _* |7 H
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed/ L5 |# {% P% x7 n3 z- b/ [- V9 `
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
2 Z# h( _ d# k) m- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
" N6 k9 k% x# N, p+ H* ^( B6 B- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
2 b% h2 e6 B: w) ~8 g1 Y- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
/ g# w1 P0 G2 ~- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers : w' _, p$ e3 r& x. J* P% d
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers / `, x0 W0 e! o
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre Q0 b: j; j0 T& z% v7 g! P# N

Qualifications
* f1 G1 P" k! o: T- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education+ z3 F# k8 E; L3 M& K/ E
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills$ V8 p# s2 m: { a2 v" B
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services6 D. c4 h- K; e% B' `# Y. l$ V
- leadership skills v' h8 O9 ]$ q1 m: ?1 G% }
- management and supervision skills5 A3 V2 {$ K6 u/ K" J
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
