- submit information for community news
" I. D* ?; ~( }% R- provide volunteers to update membership database
2 T9 J7 E7 P9 C" [9 A! W- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
4 R. u! ?. \3 }2 V# ^- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
9 J6 I0 x: W- n: I5 [- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties6 o. L1 r% Y* T
- provide volunteers for various programs
# a8 g3 y, v: F% `$ T1 O' w- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual' Q* { ^: [ T5 t |% D& t
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation! @" s, ]% b" E7 U$ a. v7 m
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
3 z+ e+ v. T8 ], d+ H- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services0 x2 r1 ?1 |6 M$ d+ j" `: v
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

: r8 D2 M2 w0 m: p/ v- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed, E2 Z, R x4 h# j- B& ^# ?/ H
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
8 w+ C) C- e0 J+ n9 `! J- K: K- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
4 `/ P g* q1 S: G+ [% i2 U3 y% |; d- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
' M9 X6 Q5 y- K+ ?- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
7 @* O2 h/ m: B! Z1 {8 @0 a- h- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers . V$ c; k+ A& U G7 k; @7 e8 y
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
& G- k6 U* \/ P: k; m& `- evaluations
8 H% n& }; F" K6 d6 d- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications
' v$ p! ]) j2 O/ ?% v- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
0 Y* {$ p' p F" b* @6 N- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
+ A! {, i5 c3 y% p( K% b, P; L- r- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services2 c" H' B- i1 O4 f% ~: N' K
- leadership skills
* n( W6 f- {9 z. ] ?- management and supervision skills
