Key Responsibilities
+ E2 K b C* _- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community8 B- r8 c% l1 _
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
4 i; u. [6 j) a3 w: Z, V# z- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
6 n% g. m0 t$ j- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies6 k" W7 F; ^; l/ t
- coordinate good will activities
/ Z$ C5 I! o `5 Z- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members6 }% `8 }' V1 Q. p$ _
- submit information for community news
" s4 Y4 k* Y8 {/ Z" [* W, O/ n) z- prepare and send AGM information to members6 \" v# G* K& c8 b
- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
/ Y3 i$ F4 R6 |4 I4 D- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities. \3 K- H, b! y b% X' O2 q
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
& ?9 ~! B4 b& V- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services1 p8 P; s/ N$ ~* Q8 I
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
. _0 X1 K) R" M% T6 Q* G, }) y- }- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
+ q- P9 q5 I/ `5 B- explore new ideas for ISP
* V: W" ^5 Z e- \6 k6 c' ]- hold regular meetings with ISP team& n$ ]4 L* Z# f, c' G9 n7 Y
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time5 v' y2 D; H6 [- \
- update membership database3 [7 n0 Q+ d# _# O' k, }3 E6 V) j' f
- coordinate good will activities

Qualifications5 x% M2 R3 ]2 L& u4 p( c
- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education & {4 W1 | a5 ]( V; s
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
9 j. S! W) {) N# z& U6 v# j- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 L- O' `( i7 R6 Z9 b4 ?, X9 {' D8 m- M- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars1 ]' e+ {, m6 |/ b" Y# s8 y
