* x' K* i+ P5 l3 Z2 u6 L+ o5 jWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. - U$ B! f$ U$ t3 t

Key Responsibilities:
* w, e* P! U: Q+ d+ ]* [• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 k, Q* C3 Q' ~
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST& c0 i* p6 u% z; d/ A( M
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 F; L, u# V! p( q0 q7 F7 j• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter! E) z8 w; A9 D% y
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents- W* L- M- ~+ c4 t( u) h O) @+ ?/ u- |
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker4 U2 c: R% Y7 N5 U X
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! B: _$ Y6 ^. f H8 \ D& _1 m• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events; ~- J3 c0 v6 j" ~9 z& F" d
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean% t5 A, w' r# M/ e7 U: r$ q* V6 \
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters6 T% r9 @8 @' L8 f: h- p
• Maintain front counter service files$ {. H4 }7 D6 r e$ }% r/ z6 ^
• Perform general office duties as assigned+ o, g5 f+ c% ]" u k+ J
• Report to ISP Program Manager& [& D6 l4 Y7 Q
, A$ j& D5 ]0 o; |$ rKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:" U; E; e1 w% K+ ?! |
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 w6 ~$ B+ ~. M7 T! @• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
% {" T4 `7 {% u• Good English writing and oral communication skills, S( u) _4 ?9 ^1 C; k4 k
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients n P1 u& T/ I, F( W" L' C2 L9 ~
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds- J3 W0 r1 @: X5 f1 u
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment0 J2 J& ~4 r* s9 W- R/ ]" r
• Knowledge of immigrant services, E; S5 X4 W0 I0 \$ a

Qualifications:
- G/ B& f4 P: v, c/ \+ g9 J, Q$ O; y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- H" \) Q$ }# U• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- a' j6 o4 f: S( `• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ v+ |* o; F4 G3 r7 E
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
