Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 _* F" J4 y7 k/ w8 c% E/ C5 P

Key Responsibilities:5 \1 \ T# F- I
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
3 q9 q# B. v, B' _5 D) e7 |• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST. J4 R' Z6 ]9 o3 Z6 @# n
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
# N* l' x4 t% \! C6 Q! ?• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
8 D* V! t# F# |$ H8 S) h& Z# @• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ R' W0 S* |, K7 j+ S5 [" f% m• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker+ j# v5 |& ~9 |( l
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
6 S7 B6 Z: o' ?0 |9 L* y+ K1 ^$ l) ~• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
4 q3 G; N& ^4 O# L4 Q! L. }• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person! G% J* D7 }" y" N$ B
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
+ r! P2 b: x. W# e7 U- f• Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 g$ J: a5 D8 h+ ]6 D0 f" r• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: n& g: l) j# c/ D& c
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
+ L5 |7 @2 C, T/ h! |2 u' _• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:% l( n/ x5 z( W5 H. I3 \: z* J# y8 a- ?
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 6 o4 J1 n! X3 u0 U, w( ~- @
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
" q. y) p- z3 T& `• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
) Z$ s% C1 Y1 j/ Z6 e3 t• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
