Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ c& }0 S0 o" [* ^: F( u7 Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST9 v6 G( ?; M8 d f
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 l4 V/ [! l. ~1 H; E• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter% Z$ ]. x+ K( `8 i
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents* ]/ c z* c. m/ j: X
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
% G X! w# I8 h. T2 G• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events( w, ^$ Q3 U( K1 z; b! {! x
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
# B# M7 v# P- _0 `• Keep the reception area tidy and clean5 v' \5 D4 y$ Q) D6 L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
' \% q7 P* i. X% o9 d/ S• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person4 J$ T0 h5 C0 X, X! ^. Y
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset9 Z) D$ p# x4 K! _. V+ g
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
! X& N% L, `. y! K• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% o% v1 d& ]" q* ~• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
& J; a1 A. \ }0 ~7 \• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
& z0 B( N5 v. E6 R2 J7 f6 j \• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
