Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # ~4 x8 B1 J1 J- C
# X2 J8 n o4 p) Z fKey Responsibilities:
/ I2 B- x2 _9 i• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 O6 I6 g+ m* \, w& C• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
9 U" J: _/ P2 g• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' v3 P0 |- J7 p( H, R) |$ M" d2 j• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
( A0 Y; |( m: \+ Y& G• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& o8 n! ?% r" D
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ I! }/ q6 ~# d0 f• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
. d+ ^: W2 Z) P/ B* ~• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. L$ I6 a$ k+ U, h
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:# w1 ?# j- \2 Q/ i! Z
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% H' ?0 E3 O' Z) K& }' b
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 u. ^ S9 R/ w3 s• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: G4 G- [3 |1 G: ~) v+ E/ i• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
$ Z7 M' ?. T$ V2 `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook2 O( I( K: w, f& F9 b: g; W
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience - T( [4 K% [9 x- o
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 }8 `5 n& @& i. M e0 `• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism: g9 y D$ p4 G, v) y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% o4 r# ~4 \. E' p& ?9 ?2 W
