Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

/ O& q+ x* g6 ]7 z# T/ TWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 {" Y8 {- p& g% a Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
' K- a R1 `* _$ ?) \' n( Q• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 p* f# T+ S+ q0 i" f/ u+ [• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ s9 b( B6 ~/ p( G3 q. j• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 w4 F, k$ h2 M2 P0 o
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker3 a3 {. C& U l; }# d- f/ z
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- p7 q! N5 n' ?0 _0 \" s• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events! b/ b8 q5 U) m& J; g* d7 S1 X
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; \: s$ {* x- J' W, `• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
) Y+ n$ o" o, b/ X( b) O, e3 x• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:0 k" z9 T$ }" Z
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person- Z+ r1 G/ }- i; c
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! Z/ w; t# @! p( o' l' o
• Good English writing and oral communication skills5 d6 Y2 N# W: a
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
# D" F& g. ~% N# R6 m- X8 [; {• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 ?# j. Z0 }1 O* x
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 Q, a/ }: Q7 v7 P
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism% H' J0 {& d: q
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
