Position Summary:
& Z; g# q. b# Z- h3 ?Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- z# G Y& b( O
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ \4 U A& C/ ?, G
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately+ d3 j- @+ ?# ~
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& K, J" I8 [& \# Y: L# [• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 f9 Y- ~3 C* M! N9 E* R
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" u0 L1 B. g4 j7 B# v
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% O$ ]0 i! g+ D( x1 o. G• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events) r) f& _! v9 A. r3 J/ j6 [( ~" _
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Perform general office duties as assigned

8 {9 i* f( Z2 A2 E% f$ u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person0 q! p# a& p% g M
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
+ q$ L6 e v4 F4 m& S3 @• Good English writing and oral communication skills8 n; m" T9 t) L
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. }( V P7 s0 u4 s- k* k• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:! r+ w7 f% z" b' k
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) C. g+ l5 ^7 G/ Z. y3 v• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment0 }0 z3 l) W1 }- C+ ^ {9 x6 U
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
, f" e" F. A2 u: ~! Y. p! F9 `• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ ~4 {" W' H+ D+ j$ k5 V) }3 N
