6 }3 ]5 r) v$ D9 G. J0 L* [-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

  V8 a% j9 U! C$ e4 C$ {* k-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
+ m! i; j" {, U' W9 J9 o-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
7 p- T8 f5 N; ~! v" W3 g-        Programming planned enhancements;
# X8 d9 l- c& T* e" X! J6 c-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
' ]& l5 b$ ^! M6 K0 [/ }2 X' \/ Ndepartment’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
$ D; i' a) t8 Q: G! ]-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
2 V; h! q' S% G( n) |9 M9 j4 H-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
7 Q1 V6 L# F- R/ i-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
' K" _& u* ~% peffective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
6 I( @5 ^$ W" S) s(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

8 H: {7 k4 P4 k: p* `! I$ w(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

9 N! k6 i, z! s% I6 g  p* P(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

( ]9 t+ o) a9 G+ O(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

2 O0 c7 N; D# ?(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

5 L7 O- x5 L$ ?. m( f' I(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

! g7 Q6 \& J6 A5 q(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
