Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

0 e( C( L4 r# E2 X-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
! b3 o) r9 c. V' Y-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
! }" o2 y9 B4 J& c-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
4 r% m1 Z9 N, @( K! }-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
5 {3 o8 g/ d' qdepartment’s change management processes;
; t# Y+ D8 C: ?0 w& @-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
  ?% B. @5 B( K' B! Z! Z% _-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
' q1 I2 J1 r1 ?2 _+ E-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
. H0 X2 Q+ i: D4 X2 W-        Understanding of project management.

5 T% k' H. j2 j9 }2 {. X; I, `0 @(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.
+ v( K5 G! _' d9 R- ?6 `
% j, ^8 C: b! q' s(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
$ o! o- f2 p7 _; W* [
# t8 U, J% M1 I(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

6 s  s0 C# d& O(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

, o* l4 U3 g# p; w(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
4 c; b6 Y: V: k(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
6 M' a1 Q  V' ]& c3 Y- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

: W" ?' g: N6 `5 S7 |; z- Crystal Reports

0 g1 n" H# |& z! }1 x. Q4 ](i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
