In general, key aspects of the role are:
1 ^5 e4 ~8 O; U! D. u1 Q" G-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
! o9 e- h( [% @; _/ p# ]. Vtechnology;
. X8 L& ]3 E' b- K0 q6 n$ H-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
8 E, X+ O/ P# h& N7 ^" Y/ `-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
- Z3 w1 X2 ^" q+ [-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
: r9 N# _% c6 h: W0 w-        Programming planned enhancements;
) Y" q& a: e6 N-        Testing system changes;
( O: n* b# J( L' ~-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
, A( I2 Q( \5 ^+ Z: J% Y* u-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
- I; u3 v) p7 E+ E* f1 H-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
5 p( q6 G, n2 y7 v-        Understanding of project management.



A. Mandatory Requirements
3 J6 p: A. n, D  }& t. `(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

& H; n4 P$ Y) p% a& f% C; O(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
# T9 Y5 r- V: e: V3 r# Y/ _7 u
; K: z# j9 S2 @2 i3 L0 x& J(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

  ?7 Y# ?' q! ~* S2 e1 n& H(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

- Infragistics controls
( z1 l; y1 i6 Y1 c& k/ |3 u, Z& b- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit

- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
7 s; T8 f2 g7 v) L  [1 J/ v( p1 I- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
