; m, x! |& b$ E1 b' i5 I0 R• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
" e; S& H/ j+ ~8 G• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components0 G% e7 B% \, I, N' {& F8 Y
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
$ Y% e2 I9 Y4 O3 p% g• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams# Q ^8 k9 o- z$ c2 @2 X+ j5 P2 N8 H
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place( `6 E( q* @2 b: Z& `! b
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment0 b& p$ P& H/ B7 g: p/ x: j
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools5 _7 N G' |' \, M8 ^
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
: l+ V1 G# T" l( u/ O/ y• Mix paint, blend and match colors6 Z0 g' K/ D- @
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns4 c1 T0 g1 V; I1 G6 M+ l, P
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs

• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade " A. V% O* S" A2 T% K/ B7 Y9 J. n
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
