- Q0 x' S: ?! p$ M• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
& Q! ?) x, I. Q: [3 e1 j• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
9 m! N# j$ Z9 g) t• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
1 ^, l+ P( T. f! R0 C• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
8 p- N2 X# F( W/ \" m" e ?• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- A- ^8 c# i$ g; b; z• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment8 ^. m0 s. s z, @
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
9 V# w% L, Y) P3 ?• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
' V8 Y% A% T0 r" ^2 n- C• Mix paint, blend and match colors1 C/ t+ `- Z( \" ]! S5 x
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns+ [* _: `5 p: O
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs o. v( f& B+ x
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

• Completion of secondary school is required! \$ C5 y m1 a3 m
• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade N4 o E: {( M7 ]) T$ i6 X
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
