Job Description:
•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
) I/ ~; x/ Y5 f6 @•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
% b% G( ^2 Z7 S% F# S4 R9 N( C' d8 S•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
7 J; A" U* b6 |  `•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
7 ]  o5 C9 b8 y- u5 _% p•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
# ~. ~0 I7 j  R" O9 `' }  O•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
( @  C& k# [! v  c# x•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
3 b: U, v$ h7 C8 N; k) u•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
6 b! z0 w4 F, H+ ^7 q•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
Education and Experience Requirements:
•        Completion of secondary school is required
: w. J( w4 D% ?; U; N6 p& i  d•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
or
' l. m0 i6 h4 h, z" [A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
